Suresearch members said goodbye to our longstanding member, Gordon Parson in April 2022. Gordon was a longstanding member of Suresearch, who attended our monthly meetings, Inpatient Care Forum and was active in the Suresearch Writers Group.
We presented a floral tribute at Gordon’s funeral in April 2025 which incorporated a laminated sheet of individual tributes. All the tributes can be read here, and one of these is reproduced below:
“Gordon was a very special character who we all loved. He always lit up the room with his wit and humour. Never afraid to make fun of himself, he always had endless jokes and original views on every subject and was never afraid to express these. Behind it all, there was a wisdom and love which we all appreciated. He helped us not to take things too seriously and get our priorities right. He was always kind and very generous. We shall miss him dearly; in fact, I cannot imagine Suresearch without him.”
