When a friend of mine suggested that I should join a Pilates class I was not convinced. I have always avoided sports or any physical exercise except for walking.
But I gave it a try and a year later would not be without a pilates class. It gives me a time in the week to gently stretch my body, slow down my breathing, and strengthen the way I balance and walk. After each session I feel full of focussed energy and optimism. Its a boost for the mind and body.
So, if you have a chance give it a try.
