The Arts All Over the Place fundraising event on 6th December in Kings Heath, Birmingham, was well attended, with poetry, live music, food and fund raising activities.
Arts All Over the Place aims to encourage participation and promotion of the arts in mental health via annual arts and health festivals, which usually take place in October.
The group’s website explains that it works to raise awareness of the creativity of people with mental health experience across the West Midlands, and demonstrate and showcase the therapeutic benefits of creative arts. Events are made accessible to people at all stages of mental health and recovery, and are made as open to the public as possible to combat stigma.
