Involvement in teaching on Social Work courses at University of Birmingham

Service users and carer involvement is an integral part of  the teaching on the Social Work BA and MA courses. Suresearch members are among those who are involved in  teaching sessions, assessing practical skills, and  interviewing potential candidates.

More information, including profiles, is available on the Department of Social Work website.

The Department employs staff to coordinate service user and carer involvement , and support those involved.

There is also a regular newsletter called ‘The Contributor Newsletter’. You can read an interview with one of members working on the courses, here.

Suresearch offers a place where those involved in the course can come together to share ideas and experiences, and support for members who want to become involved in teaching at Birmingham and elsewhere in the Midlands.
