About us

Suresearch provides a supportive environment and a wide range of opportunities for members to explore and get involved. Some of these opportunities include:

  • attending monthly meetings
  • attending conferences
  • getting involved in the recruitment of students on courses at the University
  • helping to develop curriculum materials
  • opportunities to provide feedback to students on their work
  • taking part in research interviews and/or research training
  • training professionals and students in the area of user involvement

Suresearch members can also join:

Writers' Group Where regular contributions are written for publications such as 'Openmind'. Raising awareness and promoting the profile of service users' concerns and issues are important to this group.

Inpatient Care Forum Concerned with psychiatric inpatient issues.

Futures Group: This group meets monthly, or whenever necessary, to deal with the day to day running and development of Suresearch. All members may attend.

Suresearch is a place for working with people, making new friends and learning new skills. All members have a great deal of respect for each other and show an understanding of the needs, views and wishes of others.
