About us

Suresearch provides a supportive environment and a wide range of opportunities for members to explore and get involved. Some of these opportunities include:

  • attending monthly meetings
  • attending conferences
  • getting involved in the recruitment of students on courses at the University
  • helping to develop curriculum materials
  • opportunities to provide feedback to students on their work
  • taking part in research interviews and/or research training
  • training professionals and students in the area of user involvement

Suresearch members can also join:

  • Writers' Group Where regular contributions are written for publications such as 'Openmind'. Raising awareness and promoting the profile of service users' concerns and issues are important to this group.
  • Inpatient Forum Concerned with psychiatric inpatient issues.
  • Web Watch Group Set up early in 2009 to ensure regular updating of information on the Suresearch website. The Group meets on a regular basis at the CEIMH to discuss progress and exchange ideas regarding content on the website.

Suresearch is a place for working with people, making new friends and learning new skills. All members have a great deal of respect for each other and show an understanding of the needs, views and wishes of others.
