Flexibility and Sustainability Funding
The NIHR Mental Health Research Network Heart of England Hub has received an amount of Flexibility and Sustainability Funding (FSF) for which we are inviting requests with the aim to support local research activity. A total amount of £65,500 is available. To utilise this amount we would expect to fund approximately 5-6 requests and for this to be put to use in 2010/2011.
For details about how to apply for the funding please see the attached documents which include a covering letter, application form, and guidelines on the intended purpose of FSF. If you know of any colleagues who would be interested in applying please forward this email to them.
All applications will need to be supported by a research lead and must comprise of collaborative working between academics, service users and clinical NHS staff. Successful bids will also need to lead to the development of NIHR research (where a clear proposal of the intended work must be submitted with the application) or be attached to existing NIHR research.
Applications must be sent to Carly Cooper at HeartofEnglandHub@bsmhft.nhs.uk by Monday 13th September for consideration by the HoE Hub Executive Group. Applicants will be notified of the result of their request by Friday 24th September 2009.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact Carly.Cooper@bsmhft.nhs.uk or on Tel: 0121 678 4326. For advice about Service User Involvement please contact Jackie Smart at Jacqueline.smart@bsmhft.nhs.uk or on Tel: 0121 301 4341.
