MINUTES OF FUTURE OF SURESEARCH MEETING Wednesday February 10th, 2010 at CEIMH

DVD Working group
Progress slowed by illness of JG, but now back on track. Group plans to carry out all new filming (talking heads) and produce Storyboard by end of month so DH will have a whole month if necessary to edit video in good time for April 13th Ten Year Celebratory event.
Use of previous material with film clips from the Survivor Arts project, Digital Stories, Tidal Model, Bungled Off Benefit and Screw Loose performing were also suggested as well as Conference footage.They also plan to have a music background (new and from record) as well as narration in background.
People suggested for Talking Head testimonies to the transforming and positive contribution to their recovery of being involved in Suresearch and also in professional collaboration include Colin Gell, Stewart Hendry, Ann Davis, Marion Clarke (all Founder members), Jean Jeffries, Tracey Holley, Lloyd Tatham, Jerry Tew, Rosemary Littlechild, Joy Fillingham( all IASS).
Ten Year Anniversary Event Tuesday April 13th
Event will run from 12 till 3.30 following the April Monthly meeting. Ann Davis will be asked to open the event along with Adrian Fisher with suggestions being made for a guest speaker too. David Stephenson of College of Social Science was invited but is not available. Amongst ideas suggested for the event were 5-10 minute slots for music, poetry and possibly comedy and again opportunities for members to talk of their involvement. In particular there could be more formal but brief presentations re. the work of the sub groups and involvement in Research and other projects elsewhere. There will also be a display of the Suresearch Archives, which CEIMH has paid a researcher to produce as part of its contribution to the celebrations, for members to peruse. The Writers group, as well as contributing to the Poetry slots, will be meeting on March 9th to discuss other ways to input into the event-possibly a small publication. Refreshments will be provided by CEIMH.
Community Interest Companies(CIC)
SJ did an excellent informative presentation on CICs as part of our investigation of possible business models for Suresearch in the future and a useful discussion followed.
